Good morning Tolland County Swarm! Today is Tuesday 11/16, and that means it’s National Chocolate-Covered Everything Day! Whether you prefer fruit, nuts, or veggies (a chocolate-covered onion is real thing in Pennsylvania), treat yourself to a little chocolate goodness today, you deserve it (along with an amazing CT-based board game (shameless plug)). Anyway, here’s what’s going on in Tolland County this week.

HOUSEKEEPING
Not getting our emails? A bunch of people told us we “disappeared,” which usually means our newsletter slid into Promotions or Spam. Take a quick peek there and drag our emails into your primary inbox so you do not miss the good stuff.
Dinner Club update. Our first CT Buzz Dinner Club was a blast and we got great feedback on what to keep and what to tweak so the next one is even better. Round two is set for Jan 15 in Manchester so if you want in, make sure you sign up to secure your spot. If Manchester is too far and we can get enough people in Windham County then I’ll set one up here. Poll below👇
Would you sign up for a Connecticut Buzz dinner club on January 15th if we held it in Windham County?

GAMETIME
If you’ve been thinking about grabbing Conn-opoly, now’s the time – games are in stock, will arrive before Christmas, and every purchase helps support this newsletter and the weird little CT media experiment behind it. It is the perfect “cold winter night” family game, and you’ll actually learn new things about our state while you’re arguing over who gets which property and who forgot to pay the innkeeper.

BUZZ & TELL
🐶 Adopt-a-pal: Meet Sunny, a roughly 1½ year old schnauzer mix in the 30 pound range who is looking for her forever humans. If you want a medium sized sidekick who is down for walks, road trips, and couch time, this is your girl.
🏡 House of the week: A roomy 1830 Colonial in Mansfield with nearly 2,700 square feet, a cozy fireplace, and a finished lower level that can flex as a game room, office, or guest space. Add in over an acre of land and a detached garage, and you have serious “country quiet but still close to everything” energy. Have a look!
🏛️ Indoor gem of the week: Arts Center East | Vernon
Community arts hub with gallery shows, classes, and events, perfect “wander indoors and look at cool local art for an hour” energy.
🔭 Sky report: Look east after dinner and you will see bright Jupiter hanging like a fake streetlight while the big winter constellations like Orion and Taurus climb higher every hour. Early in the week you might catch a few leftover Geminid shooting stars, then Sunday night into Monday the smaller Ursid meteor shower rolls through under a nice dark sky thanks to the new moon.
